Fieldwork has always been a crucial part of my research. Here's a summary of the fieldwork I've conducted:
June-July 2019
Location: Kampa e Isolados do Rio Envira Indigenous Reservation, Acre, Brasil.
Duration: 60 days
Activities: Conducted monolingual elicitation sessions with native speakers of Xinane for documentation purposes and theoretical work; recorded audiovisual material for documentation purposes; producing a bilingual dictionary Xinane-Portuguese (goal for the year 1,300 words).
April-June 2018

Activities: Conducted a workshop for the creation of a pedagogical grammar of Yawanawa in collaboration with local school teachers; recorded audiovisual material for documentation purposes; conducted elicitation sessions for theoretical work.

Location: Rio Gregório Indigenous Reservation, Acre, Brasil.

Activities: Interviewed community members and elaborated the plan for revitalization project in collaboration with local school teachers and elders; recorded audiovisual material for documentation purposes; conducted elicitation sessions for theoretical work.

Activities: Conducted workshop on orthography, punctuation, and text revision; revised texts to be published in book of mythical narratives with community research partners and collaborators; conducted elicitation sessions for descriptive grammar and theoretical work; recorded audiovisual material for documentation purposes.

Activities: Assisted research leader of the Kĩsêdjê language documentation project (ProDocLin) in field logistics and text revision workshop.
